After living on island for four years, I discovered one of my favorite places to be in the whole world at sunrise is the east side of Oahu, Hawaii. It’s an absolute HONOR to get to share its undeniable beauty with so many couples, including Gianna and Naeco for this Oahu sunrise elopement!
This shoot specifically is actually from a photographer content retreat I hosted in February. I basically plan the shoots similar to how I plan your elopement when you book my all-inclusive Oahu elopement package. Creating a timeline and working with some of my favorite Hawaii wedding vendors to provide you with hair and makeup, florals, and anything else you desire for your special day!
We got up mad early for this elopement. I’m talking 3 am start time for hair and makeup. I wanted to make sure nobody felt rushed, as well as give us plenty of time to hike up. Especially if it had rained (it usually does on the east side). But it was so worth it (gotta love moon pics)! If you’re coming from the mainland, the time change is on your side, my friend, and makes it way easier. Plus, if you book me for my 8+ hour packages and wanna start at sunrise, I usually schedule a break between in case you two need a nap before any afternoon/sunset adventures!
Oahu is such an amazing place to elope year-round. And though some avoid the winter due to “Hawaii snow,” AKA lots of rain, I will forever encourage embracing it. Rain makes for such unique images as you’ll see in this preview of G + N’s gallery! The fact that we only got a few minutes of downpour was honestly miraculous. But I always like to stay prepared with umbrellas, rain jackets, cover for my camera, annnnd a backup plan if we need it. It’ll be a blast, I promise. 🙂
Here are the talented vendors I had the pleasure of working with:
